The installation of the first seismic isolation device marks a significant milestone in the seismic retrofitting project of Suzzara Hospital.
The 180-kg steel plates, placed in the ceiling of the first floor, are just the beginning of a series of interventions aimed at ensuring greater structural safety for the entire healthcare facility.
This initial intervention, particularly complex due to the presence of primary utilities and electrical lines in the ceiling, was successfully completed thanks to the dedication and expertise of the team.
Starting in March, the entire hospital will undergo the installation of seismic joints, a crucial step to improve the resilience of the structure and ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
A heartfelt thank you to Ruggero Scansani, Ilir Sufa, Massimiliano Scalise, Mario Krezic, and Denis Modé (Maintenance Manager of Suzzara Hospital) for their outstanding contribution to this project.
